| The Cloud Climbing Railroad Trail |

In the Lincoln National Forest, Sacramento Ranger District you will find the Railroad Trestle Vista. Located just northwest of Cloudcroft along US 82, it is part of the old "Cloud Climbing" railroad. The trestle is on the State and National Registers of Historic Places. Parking is available to view large, old, impressive trestle along highway. The structure is unsafe. Two vantage points of this beautiful relic of an age gone by are available; one from US 82 and one from following a number of trails from the nearby Trestle Picnic Area located about 1/2 mile east of the US 82 site on the edge of Cloudcroft .
